Students are required to answer multiple-choice and short-answer questions, write one essay, translate one passage into the target language, and respond to two audio sections.

For other programs where an audition or portfolio is optional but not required, testing is required. All applicants to our campus in New York must meet our English language requirements. While we will consider scores received after our application deadline, we cannot guarantee that we will wait for those scores to arrive before making an admission decision.
We will not offer admission to a student unless we have official testing on file and NYU does not consider results submitted by the applicant as official.
If this is not possible, then have a school official submit them. We will review the highest SAT scores you submit.
